At the request of the International Court of Justice a plan has been worked out to modernize the Great Hall of Justice.

À la demande de la Cour internationale de justice (CIJ), un projet a vu le jour pour moderniser la Grande salle de Justice.

At the request of the International Court of Justice a plan has been worked out to modernize the Great Hall of Justice. This plan was drafted by the Amsterdam architect mw. Marijke van der Wijst, supported by the designbureau OTH from Amsterdam.

The plan provides new translation booths and brand new furniture which has the approval of The Hague authorities in the field of Aesthetic and Monument Protection. The assignment for the manufacturing of a new carpet is (after a short competition) is given to mw. Annet Haak from Amsterdam. The plan is mainly financed by the Carnegie Foundation.
