What?
At the Visitors Centre of the Peace Palace, the key works of Hugo Grotius—founder of international law—will be showcased throughout May. Visuals and contextual elements frame this unique exhibition, offering a deeper insight into the life and legacy of Hugo Grotius – an inspiring introduction to a thinker far ahead of his time.
Why?
The Canon of the Netherlands (Canon van Nederland) is a curated list of 50 “windows” featuring the most important people, events, and themes that have shaped Dutch history. During the Canon days on 17 & 18 May, museums and other institutions connected to the Canon of the Netherlands bring the rich Dutch history to life by organising divers activities for everyone.
