Visitors Centre

Welcome!
Welcome to the Visitors Centre of the Peace Palace. Here you can listen to an audio tour to learn more about the history of the Peace Palace and the work of the institutions housed in the Palace. The Visitors Centre is situated in the entrance building and provides a beautiful view of the Peace Palace and its gardens.

A visit to the Peace Palace or the gardens is only possible with a guided tour. More information about the tours can be found here.

Entry and Audio Tour
The entry to the Visitors Centre is free, but a donation for our educational activities is of course welcome. You can use your own mobile phone and headphones for the audio tour. If needed, we can provide headphones and phones.

During the audio tour, you will get to know more about the history of the Peace Palace and the legal institutions that are housed in the palace. The tour takes around 30 minutes and is available is 10 languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portugues, Chinese, Russian and Arabic. There is a special audio tour available for children in Dutch and in English.

Group Visits
Of course, groups are also welcome at the Visitors Centre. The maximum group size is 20 people, larger groups can be split up and visit the Visitors Centre at ten-minute intervals. Group visits outside opening hours are also available. Please contact us for more information via visit@peacepalace.org.

The Visitor Centre is easily accessible by public transportation. Bus 24, bus 28 and tram 1 stop at the Carnegieplein. It is not possible to park on the grounds of the Peace Palace. In the direct vicinity, parking is paid. There are two designated spots where tour buses may stop briefly to drop off and pick up passengers.
