France has donated a painting called ”La Paix par la Justice.” The large symbolic painting hangs in the Great Hall of Justice of the Peace Palace. Eirene, the goddess of peace, is centrally depicted with Plutus, the god of wealth, in her arms. She is flanked by two warriors on horseback (the parties to the dispute) with two judges or arbitrators above them. Pictured there above in red is the personification of international law. At the top of the sky, only barely a scale can be seen.
