Past: Follow the Mahatma

Looking back: The Gandhi March for non-violence was held on on 2 October to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, a ‘Gandhi March’ through the city of The Hague was organized to highlight the importance of the message of non-violence and the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Around 200 school kids from The Hague participated.

The Gandhi march began at the Gandhi statue on Hobbemaplein at 09.00 hrs and reached the Peace Palace around 10.00 hrs. The rally was addressed by H.E. Venu Rajamony, Ambassador of India, and Ms. Kavita Parbhudayal, Deputy Mayor of The Hague. The program finished at 11.00 hrs.
