Peace Palace

Carillon Concert

The Peace Palace has two towers. The highest of those towers has a large clockwork, which was a gift to the Peace Palace from Switzerland. A group of organisations and individuals together managed to have a carillon with 47 bells installed in the tower. A carillon is a music instrument that has bells in different many different tones. The last bell was given to the Peace Palace during the centenary of the building. The foundation Stichting Carillon Den Haag is responsible for playing the carillon. It is played the whole year through on Tuesday and Thursday between 13:00 and 13:45.

Come and listen to the wonderful sound of these 47 bells from the Carnegieplein in front of the Peace Palace.
