Whereas other parts of the garden mainly show how beautiful peace is and how important it is to preserve it, this sculpture shows the horrors of war and death. The large figure with the robe symbolizes death in its most terrifying form. Around her we see dead bodies: the victims of war. It is a constant reminder of how important it is to keep the peace.
